On July 8, 2024, Russian troops fired an X-101 missile at Ukraine’s largest children’s hospital in Kyiv, OHMATDYT.
The name “OHMATDYT” is an acronym for “protection of motherhood and childhood”. It is a Kyiv-based multidisciplinary diagnostic and treatment facility that is the largest children’s hospital in the country and one of the largest in Europe. Every year, 20-30 thousand children are treated there and about 7 thousand operations of varying complexity are performed.
The terrorist strike almost completely destroyed the dialysis building and damaged the “new building” where most of the surgical departments were located.
The Ukrainian Council of Shopping Centers is launching a fundraising campaign to rebuild the children’s hospital and calls on everyone who cares to join the effort.
During these two and a half years of the war of aggression, business has repeatedly shown its importance and the power of unity.
Yesterday we were there, saw the consequences and saw a huge number of people who came to help. We believe that there are enough people in our country who care.
Unfortunately, we know how much it costs and how much effort it takes to recover from rocket attacks, so we ask you not to stand aside.
All the funds raised will be transferred to the hospital.
